Celebrate Women's History Month with Art!

Updated: Mar 30, 2021

Update: The virtual tour was fabulous, made even more special by the appearance of both Anne Mudge and Marianela de la Hoz. Both artists spoke about their vision, their process, and their current work. Hopefully, they will join us again when we do an encore presentation in May.

Join us for “Built by Women," Virtual Tour at The San Diego Museum of Art

celebrating Women’s History Month

Docents Kathee Christensen and Marilyn Woods invite you The San Diego Museum of Art’s “Built by Women” Virtual Tour. Channel your inner Rosie the Riveter and come to this not-to-be-missed event. By the way, men are more than welcome to our presentation!

When we say “built,” we are talking about art other than paintings. The talented artists we will present work in what has traditionally been men’s fields like sculpture, especially large scale. But we’ll also feature several examples of what we have come to identify as “traditional women’s work” but with a contemporary interpretation.
